Trent Alexander-Arnold has been backed with plenty of praise as the former Liverpool star was back to his very best for Real Madrid in his first start for the club this season.
The 27-year-old has struggled in his first year with Los Blancos, as both injury and form hampered his ability to build any momentum for his new club.
While the second year has promised an opportunity to truly cement himself in the team, there have been some concerns raised over the situation that he finds himself in for the campaign.
Jose Mourinho's arrival could shake up the whole team, especially Alexander-Arnold, given his strengths and weaknesses, while the arrival of Denzel Dumfries in his position has only raised further questions over his place in the team.
While he was benched for the opening game of the campaign, the former Liverpool defender was given the nod to start the second game of the season for Real Madrid, which came against newly-promoted Malaga.
It ended up being a rout for Los Blancos, as a 4-0 win helped cement a 100 percent winning start, and gave Alexander-Arnold a chance to stake his claim to the right-back position.
He did so with not only a clean sheet but also an assist to his name, as he showed exactly why he should be handed the role as his own for the future.
The full-back took to social media shortly after the game to post a picture of the triumph, and simply captioned it with : "Vamosssss [white heart emoji]."
It was a post that gained plenty of traction, including some comments from teammates past and present, and from Liverpool and Real Madrid.
Starting with the former Liverpool stars, Andy Robertson was among the first to comment and simply said: "My right back [red heart emoji]." Meanwhile, Jordan Henderson also added a comment, simply putting a clapping emoji, followed by a heart emoji as well.
Some of his current teammates contributed, with Jude Bellingham stating: "Top bro." Thibaut Courtois picked out praise for his performance as well, saying: "What an assist."

It marks a key moment for Alexander-Arnold in his Real Madrid career, one that he will be hoping can provide the catalyst for him to push on and become a regular, finding the form that he showed at Anfield.
Whether that will or not remains to be seen, but the defender will be hopeful that this is the start of a fresh campaign, in what could be a crunch moment over his future at the Bernabeu.
