Liverpool continues to look in the market for potential options, particularly out wide, as a replacement for Cody Gakpo could be on the cards late on

Crystal Palace star Ismaila Sarr is pushing for the club to sell him to Liverpool this summer, as the Reds consider their options ahead of the final day of the summer transfer market.
That's according to journalist talkSPORT Alex Crook, who claims that the Senegalese international is the preferred option to replace Cody Gakpo in the time remaining in the window.
Gakpo has been heavily linked with a switch to Manchester City, with an offer in the region of $115 million believed to be readied for the Netherlands international to join Enzo Maresca's side.
However, Liverpool won't sanction an exit without a replacement lined up first, with several different options on the table for the forward ranks over the past few weeks of the transfer window.
Bradley Barcola is expected to be the main replacement on the left flank, with the PSG star set to join Liverpool after completing his medical tests over the weekend.
However, further depth is required, with the right flank becoming an area of importance for the Reds, as Gakpo's exit could help address the imbalance between the two sides of the forward line.
Ibrahim Mbaye was linked earlier in the window, but he looks set to join Aston Villa, while Brighton's Yankuba Minteh was a target whom the club had two bids rejected before moving on to other targets.
Sarr appears to be that other target, following reports that claimed an initial offer to Crystal Palace was turned down last week, with Liverpool yet to return to the Eagles with another bid.

That could change after the report that the 28-year-old is pushing Crystal Palace to accept a move that would see him permanently leave Selhurst Park to join the Merseyside outfit.
Whether that will change their mind remains to be seen, especially with so little time left in the market to find a replacement, while Liverpool won't be keen to hold on forever, and a replacement is also needed for Gakpo.
It sums up the concern for the team in leaving the business so late, with the move for a left-winger and right-winger dragging into the final week.
If a deal for Sarr does get done, however, then Liverpool will have found its positional replacement for Mohamed Salah, after a summer-long pursuit for one.
There may be some concerns over the winger, considering his age profile and relative lack of experience playing for a side like Liverpool, but he has shown the team exactly what he can do already, scoring seven times against the Reds in ten appearances.
It sets up some late chaos and drama surrounding the approach, with the Reds waiting and ready to pounce in case Crystal Palace's stance changes.
