The Minnesota Vikings have a fresh 53-man roster, after new GM Nolan Teasley and the coaching staff cut over 30 players and shuffled around some others via injury designation or trade.
Minnesota Vikings keep all four quarterbacks
As is the case every year, there were some surprises today. It may not be the most surprising move of the day, but the Vikings deciding to keep all four quarterbacks — Kyler Murray, JJ McCarthy, Carson Wentz and Max Brosmer — on roster has to be the most intriguing.

We all knew the Minnesota Vikings were keeping Kyler Murray and Carson Wentz, when the day started. The questions surrounding that room revolved around youngsters McCarthy and Brosmer, neither of which performed admirably in the preseason.
But did we really get QB answers on Sunday? No. In fact, there may be even more questions now, than there were this morning.
What does this mean for JJ McCarthy
Remember, most teams only carry two active quarterbacks on roster during game days, especially since the league began allowing an emergency-only QB, who doesn’t count against the 53-man, to suit up too.
In other words, it would be a surprise if the MN Vikings have four quarterbacks on the active roster, come September 13, when they play week one of the regular season against the Green Bay Packers.
Does that mean JJ McCarthy is going to get traded in the next two weeks? It certainly seems like a very good possibility, but the Vikings don’t seem willing “just to give him away”.
