The Chiefs’ initial 53-man roster for 2026 revealed after cuts

Things could shift by Week 1, but here is the active roster after the cutdown deadline passed:

_Notable cut: Chris Oladokun_

_Notable cut: Emari Demercado_

_Notable cut: Andrew Armstrong_

_Notable cut: Left tackle Esa Pole_

_Note: Omarr Norman-Lott will start the season on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list_

_Notable cut: Emmanuel Ogbah_

_Notable cuts: Cole Christiansen and Cam Jones_

_Notable cut: DeShon Singleton_

* **Reserve/NFI:**

* **Reserve/Injured:** WR Jeff Caldwell, WR Jimmy Holiday, TE John Michael Gyllenborg, DE Ethan Downs and OL Matt Waletzko

* **Physically Unable to Perform:** DT Omarr Norman-Lott

The Chiefs will not be able to begin building most of their practice squad until after 11 a.m. (Arrowhead Time) on Monday, which is the deadline for waived players to be claimed by other teams. Most players who will fill the practice squad will have previously been waived from the Chiefs’ 90-man roster, so they must clear waivers first. Up to six of the 16 players each team can carry on its practice squad may have any amount of league experience. So it’s possible the Chiefs could sign some practice-squad players from the pool of veteran players just released by other teams — who will not have to go through waivers — before Monday’s deadline.
