NFL teams on Sunday trimmed their rosters from 90 players to 53 ahead of the 2026 season.
In total, 43 former Florida players made their team's cut, including all seven members of UF's 2026 NFL Draft class and three undrafted free agent signees. Additionally, several former Gators were designated to reserve lists due to injury.
NFL teams will continue to adjust their rosters following the 53-player cutdown, as players subject to the waiver wire (those possessing fewer than four vested seasons of NFL experience) are eligible to be claimed through Monday at 1 p.m. ET. Such transactions would require teams at the 53-player roster limit to make a corresponding move.
Waived or released players can also sign with practice squads across the league beginning at 1 p.m. ET on Monday.
