Bucs announce moves to finalize their 53-man roster

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have officially reached the NFL’s 53-man roster limit ahead of the 2026 regular season.

Tampa Bay completed its final round of roster moves Sunday, trimming the preseason roster while also shifting a pair of players to injured reserve with designations to return. Among the more notable moves were the releases of quarterback Jake Browning and safety Ifeatu Melifonwu, while several young players were waived and could potentially return as members of the practice squad.

The Bucs can begin assembling their practice squad after players clear waivers.
