KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - The Chiefs have announced their 53-man roster to kick off the 2026 season.
Teams across the league trimmed down from 90 allotted preseason players ahead of Sunday’s 5 p.m. CT deadline.

### Roster moves
Kansas City terminated defensive end Emmanuel Ogbah’s contract. Ogbah played 10 games for the Chiefs in their 2019 Super Bowl-winning season. The Chiefs brought him back for training camp last month.
The Chiefs waived longtime reserve quarterback Chris Oladokun with an injury designation.
Kansas City also waived a few training camp standouts, including wide receiver Andrew Armstrong, wide receiver Jacob De Jesus and tight end Tre Watson.
Defensive tackle Omarr Norman-Lott (knee) will start the season on the Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform list, while wideout Jimmy Holiday (quad) has been placed on injured reserve.
Teams now have until 12 p.m. CT Monday to file a waiver claim on a player. Any player who clears waivers becomes an unrestricted free agent and can sign with any team or join a practice squad.
