Final cuts to the NFL roster took place on Sunday as the Cincinnati Bengals had great news to share to one of their prospective players ahead of the 2026 season.
Following a collegiate career at Presbyterian and Delta State, Meyers went undrafted back in 2023. He had a tryout for the Atlanta Falcons after the draft but didn't make the cut for that season.
Meyers has since been active in Canada, representing the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the CFL. He played two seasons with them in 2024 and 2025 before getting his next NFL opportunity.
The Bengals came calling as he signed a reserve/futures contract in January. He got his chances to shine during preseason action, which ultimately landed him the chance of a lifetime. Cincinnati revealed the positive news of him making the 53-man roster, ending up with a lot of emotions.

What lies ahead for Dohnte Meyers, Bengals this season
Dohnte Meyers is more than proud to finally get his place in the NFL, looking to shine in the Bengals' offense and special teams.
Meyers was active in the offense throughout the team's preseason games. His preseason debut allowed him to catch three passes for 29 yards while attempting a rush for 13 yards against the Detroit Lions. Against the Chicago Bears, he recorded five receptions for 41 yards while doing a nine-yard rush. The preseason finale against the Philadelphia Eagles saw him make three catches for 51 yards. His efforts rightfully earned him a place on the roster, presenting an intriguing option for the offense to turn to.
The Bengals will seek to improve upon their 6-11 record from the previous season. They also intend to make the playoffs after a three-year absence and put an end to three consecutive seasons of not winning the AFC North.
Cincinnati gets the 2026 campaign underway at home. They host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as kickoff commences on Sept. 13 at 1 p.m. ET.
