Chelsea could be about to make another shocking move, just as they did in 2013 when they beat Tottenham Hotspur to the signing of Willian.
Chelsea’s transfer business this summer has already surprised many, with the club bringing in both Danny Welbeck and Jordan Henderson, who are now in their mid-30s.
Since then, the Blues have also replaced Robert Sanchez with Emiliano Martinez after initially briefing that they were happy with their goalkeeper options.
And now, supporters could be in for yet another shock transfer as Chelsea weigh up a hijack.
Chelsea considering Iliman Ndiaye hijack
On Sunday, it was reported that Tottenham have agreed a deal with Everton to sign Iliman Ndiaye. However, that transfer has not been finalised yet, and Chelsea could try to take advantage of that.
Journalist Simon Phillips has claimed on Si Phillips Talks Chelsea that the Blues are thinking about hijacking the deal.
Chelsea and Tottenham have previous after Willian’s transfer from Anzhi Makhachkala to the former 13 years ago.
Willian was Tottenham-bound until Chelsea hijacked that move, and it looks like they could do the same thing again in 2026. Given Ndiaye’s ability and how close Spurs are to signing the 26-year-old, any potential hijack would be up there with Willian’s.
