The Green Bay Packers will be without Micah Parsons and Josh Jacobs to open the season, with their superstar pass-rusher set to be out for at least the first four games.
Parsons suffered a torn ACL in his debut season for the Packers, just a few weeks after his mega-trade from the Dallas Cowboys. The pass-rusher has been placed on the Reserve/PUP list, which means players cannot be elevated to the 53-man roster until Week Five, and will be out for the first four games of the new season.
It comes after the Packers learned they'll be without Jacobs, their star running back, after he was placed on the commissioner's exempt list - having been charged with multiple criminal offenses.

Jacobs was charged with misdemeanors for battery and criminal damage to property by a local Wisconsin court this week, after his initial arrest in May.
The 28-year-old is not scheduled in court until November, meaning he could be away from the team for the vast majority of the season.
The Packers have already reacted to this news, having traded for Kaleb Johnson from the Pittsburgh Steelers at the running back position.

Jacobs' attorneys, David Z. Chesnoff, Richard A. Schonfeld, and Clarence F. Duchac III, released a statement in response to the NFL's decision.
“Josh Jacobs has been placed on the Commissioner’s Exempt List, which is an administrative procedure used by the NFL while a matter is being reviewed," the statement read. "It is not a final determination.
"Josh respects the NFL process, the Packers, and his Coaches and Teammates. He looks forward to his return to the team and the NFL.”

Green Bay is likely to elevate MarShawn Lloyd, former USC running back and teammate of Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams, to their starter at running-back.
Being without Parsons is arguably the teams biggest loss though, who they traded for to provide a spark to their defensive line as one of the best pass-rushers in the league.
Parsons was named a captain for the team last year, and will be expected to play a big role once he gets back to the team - with Green Bay fans hoping it will be in Week Five.
The Packers must look to keep pace with the top team's in the NFC, with the Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams expected to have strong years, as well as the Bears and Detroit Lions in the Green Bay's division.
