Man City Women Secure Germany International Carlotta Wamser

Man City Women sign Germany international defender Carlotta Wamser from Bayer Leverkusen on a four-year deal.
The right back arrives after a hugely successful spell in her homeland with teams such as SGS Essen, Eintracht Frankfurt and FC Koln before a 12-month stint at Leverkusen.
Wamser also has 14 caps to her name for Germany and has scored twice after progressing through the age groups.
She was part of thee side who reached the semi-finals of the 2025 Women’s Euros, having also helped the Under-17s to European glory in 2019.
Wamser told mancity.com: “It feels very, very good [to be joining City]. I had a perfect welcome here and I already feel very good here. I look forward to my time here in Manchester.
“The English league is the best league in the world and Manchester City are one of the best clubs in the world.
“I feel like I need the next step for my career and I feel that I can develop as a player here very well. And I like the challenge as well, so I think it’s the perfect step for me right now to [move to] Manchester.”
Director of Football, Therese Sjögran added: “We are delighted to welcome Carlotta to the club.
“She is a player we’ve admired for some time and know she will bring energy, passion and a willingness to learn to the team.”
