Liverpool remain in talks with Crystal Palace over the potential signing of Ismaila Sarr, after having a £50 million bid for the player rejected last week, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Sarr enjoyed an exceptional 2025/26 season, netting 21 goals across all competitions for the Eagles as they won the Conference League. This campaign has prompted the Reds to consider the Senegalese wide man in their pursuit of a right-sided attacker.
The Merseysiders are closing in on the signing of Bradley Barcola for £120 million, but are still eager to add another winger to their ranks with Cody Gakpo seemingly on his way to Manchester City.
Sarr is pushing for a move to Anfield, but a deal ultimately hinges on how willing Palace are to sanction the player's departure.

While Barcola solves Liverpool's problems on the left wing, they still have no natural right-sided attacker in their squad, barring the injury-prone Federico Chiesa. Victor Munoz and Rio Ngumoha predominantly operate off the left, meaning the void left by Mohamed Salah is yet to be filled.
The north-west outfit pulled out of a move for Yankuba Minteh due to Brighton's excessive price demands, and have seemingly turned their attention towards Sarr.
Submitting a £50 million bid for Sarr, which was turned down by Palace, Liverpool could well return with an improved offer before the window closes, with transfer guru Fabrizio Romano describing the deal as 'one to watch'.
"For Liverpool, I would still keep a name," Romano said on his YouTube channel.
"The name of Ismaila Sarr is not the only one because Liverpool are being offered several wingers every hour, now that everyone knows Liverpool need a winger, so this is why they are considering several players.
"I can guarantee and put my hand on fire that Liverpool sent an official bid to Crystal Palace for Sarr. Then Palace wanted more than what Liverpool offered, around 50 million pounds. But Liverpool sent a bid for Sarr, and her is keen on a move to Liverpool.
Time is running out for Liverpool to bulk out their wide forward department. If they don't accelerate a move for the 'electric' Sarr, or someone else, before Tuesday's deadline, Andoni Iraola will be forced to use someone out of position on the right-hand side until January at least.
