Months after Will Levis proclaimed that "there are not 32 quarterbacks better" than him, the former second-round pick is searching for a new team.
The Titans cut the Kentucky product on Sunday, ending his tenure with the franchise after two seasons. Selected in the 2023 NFL Draft, Levis' career began with promise before spiraling amid inconsistent play and injuries.
The 27-year-old missed the entire 2025 season after being placed on injured reserve following shoulder surgery. He last took the field in 2024, recording 2,091 yards with 13 touchdowns and 12 interceptions for last-place Tennessee.
Here's a look at some potential destinations that could fit Levis as he seeks another chance to resurrect his dwindling career.

### Patriots
With Drake Maye at the helm, New England is more than satisfied with its quarterback situation. Things are a little murkier behind him; Tommy DeVito has failed to impress as a backup, and Behren Morton was selected in the seventh round of the 2026 NFL Draft.
Levis is familiar with head coach Mike Vrabel's system, having played for him as a rookie. Levis' time under Vrabel's tutelage was far from smooth — he drew Vrabel's ire for his willingness to put himself in danger in the hopes of accumulating a few extra yards.
"We showed him examples of quarterbacks sliding and using the rules to their advantage," Vrabel said in 2023 (via [Fox Sports](https://www.foxsports.com/stories/nfl/mike-vrabels-funny-teaching-lesson-for-will-levis-to-be-more-careful)). "I guess we'll have to show him video of quarterbacks not sliding and getting the s— beat out of them."
Vrabel was sacked after Levis' first year. Levis was fairly underwhelming across his nine starts, amassing 1,808 yards with eight touchdowns and four interceptions as a rookie. While Levis' career has stalled a bit in the years since he made his debut, perhaps his old taskmaster could help him get back on track in a reduced role.
### Jaguars
Before Levis was attempting passes at the NFL level, he was a high-potential star at Kentucky. Levis transferred to the school as a junior, immediately rocketing to the top of Mark Stoops' depth chart. During his first year in Lexington, he teamed up with a budding star on the tactical side of things: the Wildcats' then-offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Liam Coen.
Under Coen's stewardship, Levis posted collegiate career highs in yardage and touchdowns. Coen used his success to leapfrog back into the NFL ranks, landing with the Buccaneers as an offensive coordinator before embarking on a run as the head coach in Jacksonville.
A reunion with Coen could suit all sides, especially if Quinn Ewers falls flat behind Trevor Lawrence.
### Chargers
There isn't a strong pathway for Levis to land a starting gig, especially if teams like the Jets, Browns and Cardinals are content to wait and see what they could land in the 2027 NFL Draft. As such, Levis' likeliest route back to relevance is as a backup.
Justin Herbert has stayed fairly healthy despite absorbing more sacks than all passers but Geno Smith and Cam Ward last year. With Rashawn Slater and Joe Alt set to return to action after sustaining season-ending injuries last year, the offensive line should look much better.
If Herbert goes down, though, Trey Lance has yet to prove himself to be a capable backup. He inked a one-year deal ahead of the 2026 season, so it seems likely that Los Angeles is satisfied with his few outings in relief of Herbert last year.
However, if Los Angeles' front office did want to make a change in the future, you'd have to imagine Levis would be one of the first names it would consider.
### Cowboys
Joe Milton III is a preseason darling, but he is far from a known commodity as a backup. For all his faults, Levis has a slightly better track record.
He won't be able to displace Dak Prescott as Dallas' starter — any suggestion that he could is fanciful at best. But perhaps Levis can cement himself as Dallas' No. 2, playing himself into a new gig with inspired appearances in the event that Prescott suffers an injury.
