WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - A former standout quarterback for Mulvane High School paid his dues to earn an opportunity of a lifetime.
Jayden Price, who played college football for North Dakota State, will be on the New Orleans Saints’ 53-man roster when the NFL regular season kicks off in a couple weeks.
Price’s resilience and work ethic are paying off following a career path that’s included time in the Canadian Football League and the UFL.
Price had a previous but brief stint in the NFL with the Atlanta Falcons in 2024, but he was released before the regular season. Price was also released from the Saints in late summer but signed to the team’s practice squad.

The breakthrough this year followed a New Orleans training camp and preseason in which he stood out.
“I think \[Price’s\] consistency through this entire camp has been really impressive,” Saints Head Coach Kellen Moore said in [**a story posted to the team’s website on Aug. 12**](https://www.neworleanssaints.com/news/cornerback-jayden-price-carving-out-star-space-with-new-orleans-saints-defense). “He’s a great example: You earn more opportunities through training camp, and he has certainly done that.”
