The Los Angeles Rams did not have any of their cut players claimed on the waiver wire on Monday, leaving all of them available to be signed to the practice squad. The Rams, who were very late in the waiver order, did not claim any players either. Despite some preseason hype for players like Dean Connors and Austin Blaske, they were not quite valuable enough to other teams to be claimed, which would require [those teams to release a player from the 53-man roster they just finalized on Sunda](/los-angeles-rams-roster/147519/rams-final-roster-cuts-2026)y.
This does happen every year, of course.
Fans get overly excited about players based on preseason games, which hardly simulate the reality of regular season action, and then worry that another team will claim said player. And it does happen sometimes. Just today, 26 players were claimed on waivers. But that’s still less than one player per team and the Rams were probably less likely than other teams to have someone claimed.
Now we wait to see who will end up on the practice squad. [Follow the Rams practice squad tracker here](/los-angeles-rams-roster/147425/rams-practice-squad-tracker).
