Manchester City will hope to continue their winning start to the new Premier League season when they face Coventry City on Saturday.
The Citizens have won each of their opening two league matches under new boss Enzo Maresca, who replaced Pep Guardiola following the Spaniard’s departure at the end of last season.
City currently sit top of the Premier League table, although champions Arsenal could leapfrog them by beating Aston Villa comfortably on Monday evening.
Ahead of that game. it has emerged that City are closing in on yet another summer signing.
As per Fabrizio Romano, Manchester City have reached an agreement to sign winger Iliman Ndiaye from Premier League rivals Everton.
Romano claims that the Citizens have agreed a deal worth around £65 million to sign the Senegal international, who represented his country at the World Cup in North America this summer.

Ndiaye, 26, joined the Toffees from French side Marseille back in 2024, having previously impressed in England with Sheffield United.
Since arriving in Merseyside, the Senegalese attacker has scored 17 goals and provided four assists in 74 matches across all competitions.
Romano suggests that a full agreement has been reached between the Citizens and the Toffees, with City having already finalised personal terms with the player himself.
Ndiaye’s current contract at Everton isn’t set to expire until the end of the 2028/29 campaign, but it appears almost certain that he will now be on his way to The Etihad before the current transfer window slams shut on Tuesday evening.
Ndiaye’s imminent arrival at Man City casts further doubt about the future of Jack Grealish at the club, with the England international having been heavily linked with a move to Everton after a relatively successful loan spell at the club last term.
