Adam Aznou will spend the remainder of the 2026-27 season with Malaga after making just his second appearance for Everton

Everton have confirmed that young left-back Adam Aznou has joined Malaga on loan for the 2026-27 season.
The temporary switch for the 20-year-old, who joined Everton in July 2025, represents a return to La Liga for the full-back.
Aznou is a youth product of Barcelona’s famed La Masia academy, spending three years as a teenager with the Spanish giants, before heading to Bayern Munich in the summer of 2023.
While in Germany, the Morocco international earned appearances in the Bundesliga, Champions League and the Club World Cup and then spent a loan spell back in La Liga with Valladolid.
After signing for Everton, he made his debut for the club in January 2026, coming off the bench against Sunderland in the FA Cup third round.
He made his second appearance for the Blues as a substitute in last Wednesday's 4-0 Carabao Cup win at Preston North End.
But Aznou now heads to Andalusia, linking up with newly-promoted La Liga side Malaga for the remainder of their season.
His departure means Everton currently have just one senior, recognised left-back in David Moyes' first-team squad.
Meanwhile, Everton Under-21s winger Joel Catesby is heading out on his first loan. He's signed for League Two club Accrington Stanley.
