Predicting Everton's Summer Transfer Window Deadline Day

Everton's summer transfer window deadline day could be hectic.

Trying to predict what is going to happen at Everton is one of the most difficult tasks in all walks of life.

If anyone could have predicted what happened between Saturday morning and today, then fair play, because it's been an absolute roller coaster.

That roller coaster hasn't quite stopped yet, with the summer transfer window closing on Tuesday evening. There is plenty of opportunity for surprise deals to take place. Transfers to collapse and fume to begin.

In terms of outgoings, it does look as though Iliman Ndiaye is going to be heading to Manchester City for a fee in the region of £65 million. Beto also looks set to be leaving the club to join Fiorentina, while Adam Aznou's loan move to Malaga has been confirmed.

We can safely assume that Ndiaye is going to be leaving, even if there is another twist in his next club, which does feel unlikely.

What we can't predict, however, is who's going to be standing holding the shirt after signing for Everton before the deadline on Tuesday.

Despite that, I'm going to give it a good go based on the information we have all seen, alongside some gut instincts.

Arrivals at Everton on deadline day

I feel like the most likely transfer to be completed is the arrival of Kenny Tete from Fulham. Everton are believed to be advancing in talks to secure his signature, and you imagine that this is a deal that gets done.

Of course, this whole article is based on the caveat that anything can happen, but it is a prediction.

Next up, my prediction is that a deal to sign Richarlison won't go through. Although we saw previously that a deal for Richarlison had been agreed with Tottenham for a fee of around £35 million, there does appear to have been some complications.

Given that I don't agree with the fee, I am also hoping that a Richarlison deal doesn't go through, as I would like to sign Folarin Balogun instead.

Reports have claimed that Everton have reached an agreement to sign Balogun, so that's one that is obviously going to go ahead.

Next up is Jack Grealish joining the club on loan from Manchester City. It always felt like this was going to happen almost since the day Grealish arrived for his first loan spell. The City winger clearly loved his time at the Hill Dickinson stadium, and David Moyes loved having him here.

I'm predicting that deal to get done.

Finally, and this may be hoping I throw something out into the universe that then takes place. I think Everton have a surprise up their sleeves.

I'm probably wrong, but I'm predicting a random signing out of nowhere for a name that hasn't really been linked over the last few days.

I'm going to randomly guess a name as well. Why not. Callum Doyle. But as I've mentioned him recently, I'll go Rayan Ait-Nouri.
