Celtic have been alerted to a possible season-long loan deal for Chelsea winger Kendry Paez.

The report comes as the Scottish Premiership champions maintain links with the Premier League club during the summer transfer window.

Celtic have already agreed a loan move for Landon Emenalo, who could provide cover for Kieran Tierney at left-back. However, that deal remains uncertain as the 18-year-old works to prove his fitness before travelling north of the border.

Alan Nixon reports that Chelsea have also contacted Celtic about Paez. The London club are prepared to let the winger leave on loan for a season to gain regular first-team football.

Blackburn Rovers and other Championship clubs have reportedly been approached about the Ecuador international.

Paez, 19, has previously played for River Plate and Strasbourg on loan. He is therefore familiar with leaving Stamford Bridge for temporary moves.

Celtic have signed Haissem Hassan to play in a wide position for the coming season. Camilo Duran can also operate there.

Jota remains out with a long-term injury, meaning Celtic may still want another option in that area.
