Liverpool had to settle for a point against Nottingham Forest at Anfield last weekend, while Andoni Iraola’s wait for a first win continues.
The Reds previously salvaged a last-gasp draw at Newcastle United thanks to Dominik Szoboszlai, before Victor Munoz struck late to earn a point against Forest on Saturday.

With the transfer window closing, Liverpool have confirmed the signing of Bradley Barcola from PSG, while Cody Gakpo is now expected to stay at Anfield.
Yankuba Minteh and Ismaila Sarr remain targets, although neither will come cheap. Elsewhere, Santos have officially completed the signing of former Liverpool midfielder Arthur Melo.
Arthur has joined Santos on a contract until the end of 2026, returning to Brazil after Juventus terminated his contract.
The 30-year-old joined Juventus from Barcelona in 2020 but made just 63 appearances, scoring once and providing one assist. He spent the past four years on loan at Liverpool, Fiorentina, Girona and Gremio before leaving the Serie A club.
“I’m very happy to be here, it’s another dream come true in my career. I know the size of Santos FC, the size of its history, so I feel very honored, very eager to get on the field and help my teammates, feel the warmth of the fans, and see what it’s really like to play at home, at Vila Belmiro,” Arthur said.
“Having that in my favor will certainly be an extra boost of energy, and I’m anxious to receive the affection of this wonderful fanbase.” Arthur has chosen the No.6 shirt after completing his move to Santos.
Arthur Melo spent the 2022/23 season on loan at Liverpool, making just one appearance. The Brazil midfielder joined the Reds from Juventus on September 1, 2022, and made his debut in a Champions League defeat at Napoli.
However, a thigh injury ruled him out for several months, and he did not play for Liverpool again before his loan spell ended.
