The New York Giants made the decision to keep Odell Beckham Jr. on the roster after training camp. The veteran pass catcher worked hard to make the team in the fall. And his efforts certainly did not go unnoticed by the organization.
It's a big moment for Beckham, who has struggled with injuries in a major way. The 33-year-old didn't play in 2022 after tearing his ACL in the Super Bowl with the Los Angeles Rams. In 2025, he also missed the season due to injuries. Making New York's roster was rather cathartic for the former first-round pick.
“Over the last couple weeks, it was just a grind. Knowing I'm so close to what I've worked hard for… Over the last day, just my family being here. Seeing my son at the game, I had those tears after I found out that I'm going to be here. Definitely had that moment where it was like, you could let out some of the pain that I feel like I've went through. It was very healing,” the Giants veteran said, via SNY Giants.
Beckham began his career with the Giants back in 2014. It was with New York that he developed into one of the most exciting pass catchers in the league. After a trade to the Cleveland Browns in 2019, Beckham has had stops with the Rams, Baltimore Ravens, and Miami Dolphins.
This is certainly quite the story, and a chance for Beckham to close his career out on his terms. He will take the field in Week 1 on September 13 when the Giants take on the Dallas Cowboys.
