Not only do the Buffalo Bills have their 53-man roster all solidified, but they officially have their practice squad all set as well. All 32 NFL teams had to get their rosters down to 53 by Sunday at 6PM, which meant that they had to waive or release players that could end up on another team for the season.
The Bills didn't claim anyone on waivers, but they did lose cornerback Toriano Pride Jr. to the Cleveland Browns, per Tom Pelissero. When it came to the practice squad, they brought back a lot of players that were on the roster all summer.
Some of those names include CB Kani Walker, WR Trent Sherfield Sr., S Geno Stone, LB Keonta Jenkins and RB Frank Gore Jr. The Bills also brought back linebacker Shaq Thompson, who wasn't just on the roster last season but he was also a starter as well. Jay Skurski from The Buffalo News had reported that Thompson was set to come back to the practice squad.
Then there were two names listed, per the Buffalo Bills' PR X account, that are joining the Bills from outside the building. The first one was WR Greg Dortch and then OL Jedrick Wills Jr.

Bills sign former Top-10 pick Jedrick Wills to practice squad
Wills comes to Buffalo with something to prove after missing all of last season. He was selected 10th overall by the Cleveland Browns in the 2020 NFL Draft, in which the Browns were hoping that he would be a franchise player in the trenches.
Wills was part of an offensive line for the Browns that was great when it came to the rushing attack. However, after his 5th-year option was picked on his rookie deal, that’s when injuries started to come into play. He barely played in 2024 and then he decided to not play in 2025 at all. The Chicago Bears had signed Wills this offseason, but he wasn't able to make the final roster.
Now with Wills coming to Buffalo, he gets the chance to prove himself on a championship contender that has one of the best offensive lines in the league. Not only does he get the chance to prove himself, but the Bills get themselves a proven player who has played a lot of football from his time with the Browns.
This is a great opportunity for both the Bills and Wills to get the most out of each other. Buffalo gets a great practice squad player and Wills gets a brand new start in a great situation. The former Top 10 pick will look to get his career back on track in Western New York.
