Liverpool are looking to further strengthen Andoni Iraola's side after announcing the £123million signing of Bradley Barcola from Paris Saint-Germain. Cody Gakpo is staying put, despite considerable interest from Manchester City and Tottenham, while several additions are in the works.

At least three wingers are being eyed, including Crystal Palace star Ismaila Sarr, who has rebuffed Galatasaray and Saudi interest. His sights are set on Anfield in a bid to carry on a fruitful relationship between Senegal and Liverpool. There has been a development concerning the winger and Express Sport is on hand to bring you all the latest updates from Merseyside on deadline day...

Sarr has reportedly gone on strike in an attempt to force a late move to Liverpool. Palace are standing firm in their determination to hold onto Sarr this summer, after the Reds had a £50m offer knocked back last week, yet continue to pursue the right winger.

The Eagles have thus far rebuffed further approaches from Liverpool, but are examining market possibilities should an agreement be reached. Palace are also understood to be seeking £75m for their prized asset, while Liverpool remain determined to land the winger's services.

The pursuit of Sarr follows the Reds' rejection of two offers for Yankuba Minteh earlier this month. While it is believed the club have switched their focus elsewhere, a deal could yet be revived if Brighton reduce their valuation from £80m.

Discussions were due to restart between the two clubs in a bid to finalise a deal late in the window. Minteh is understood to have set his sights on a switch to Merseyside also.

Djylian N'Guessan is set to join Liverpool next summer after the Reds reached an agreement with his club, Saint-Etienne. The 18-year-old was previously linked with Chelsea, but his future now appears destined for Merseyside following the Reds' securing a deal to sign the French Under-20 international.

The young winger made his professional debut at 16 years old and has featured in 11 matches for the senior squad to date.

The Reds are finalising the transfer of the 18-year-old, having agreed an initial fee in a package worth approximately £4.25m.

Should the transfer be completed, N'Guessan, whose contract expires in 12 months, would remain with the Ligue 2 outfit for the rest of this season.
