The NFL roster dust is starting to settle as teams made final cuts down to 53 players on Sunday, and then began assembling practice squads on Monday.
A quick perusal of initial NFL rosters showed that seven different former Huskers made NFL 53-man rosters on Sunday afternoon.
Those include:
RB Ameer Abdullah, Jacksonville Jaguars
DT Maliek Collins, Cleveland Browns
RB Emmett Johnson, Kansas City Chiefs
TE Thomas Fidone, New York Giants
C Cam Jurgens, Philadelphia Eagles
DT Ty Robinson, Philadelphia Eagles
LB Luke Gifford, San Francisco 49ers
An eighth, cornerback Cam Taylor-Britt is serving a one game suspension with the NFL in week one and doesn't technically count against the Indianapolis Colts' roster until after the suspension is served. Former Husker tight end Nate Boerkircher, who finished his career at Texas A&M last season, also made the Jacksonville Jaguars 53-man roster.
NFL teams filled out their initial practice squads and made player waiver claims on Monday, with several former Nebraska players being signed to teams' practice squads. Here's who had been announced by NFL teams as of Monday evening:
