Two of the Premier League’s unbeaten sides go head-to-head on Sunday, as Chelsea travel to the Emirates to face Arsenal.
Xabi Alonso’s early life at Chelsea is already a proper wild ride. Two wins from two against Fulham and Brighton, seven goals scored, with the attack playing with serious flair.
But that backline is leaking like a sieve. Conceding five goals in 180 minutes is playing with fire.
And now the Blues head straight to the Emirates furnace. Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal look like a machine right now, with two wins, two clean sheets, and zero messing about.
Going up against a defense that’s wide open, Arsenal’s attack will be licking their lips. It’s Alonso’s first proper test, and a good look at how his system will fare against one of the best.

Bukayo Saka refuses to talk about Chelsea
Arsenal star Bukayo Saka was giving nothing away on Chelsea after being asked about their start to the season, as he responded with a bit of fighting talk ahead of the London derby.
He spoke to Sky Sports after scoring the only goal for Arsenal against Aston Villa.
Dave Jones asked: “We’re looking forward to watching you on Sunday, Bukayo, we’re going to be doing the Arsenal vs Chelsea game. Have you seen Chelsea yet yourself?”
Saka responded: “Yeah I’ve seen them.”
Jones replied: “So what do you think?”
Saka said: “We’ll see on Sunday.”
Bukayo Saka’s record against Chelsea
Bukayo Saka boasts a strong record against Chelsea. Across 13 Premier League appearances against the Blues, Saka has recorded two goals and four assists, bringing his total direct goal contributions to six.
His first goal against Chelsea came in a 3-1 victory on Boxing Day in 2020, and he managed to score last season at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League.
Overall, Saka has won seven, drawn four, and lost just two league encounters against Chelsea, making the Blues one of his most frequent opponents.
