Harvey Elliott has spoken after landing in Spain to complete a season-long loan move to Valencia, where he had a message for the supporters of the club he is set to join

Harvey Elliott has spoken to reporters in Spain ahead of signing for Valencia on a season-loan loan from Liverpool, with the 23-year-old heading to La Liga in search of regular game time.
Last season, Elliott was at Aston Villa on a temporary basis, but after Unai Emery decided that he didn't want to pay $47 million (£35 million) to sign him permanently, he refused to play him so that the buy clause was not triggered.
As a result, Elliott has essentially missed a year of his career. During pre-season, he looked a little off the pace, with Andoni Iraola leaving him out of the Liverpool matchday squad for the first two matches of the new campaign.
Moving to Valencia should offer Elliott the chance to play regularly. La Liga should suit his playing style too, with the Premier League more physical and the Spanish game more focused on technique.
"An incredible club," Elliott told reporters in Valencia after he landed in Spain to undergo his medical.
"I'm really thankful for the opportunity. I'm going to play as well as I can here and I know the history of the club.
"It determines a lot of hard work and I'm going to give everything I have for Valencia. It happened quite quick and I was ready for the call.
"It's just making sure I'm ready to come here and play and I am. I'm here now and I'm looking forward to it.
"The goal is to get Valencia into European football. It is an increidble club and I want to do the best I can for them. I feellike with the tema, we can do that, but it is going to be a hard season.
"I'll play anywhere. I'm just happy to play football. But as a number 10, that is where I think I am the most effective."

Elliott could make his Valencia debut against Barcelona on Sunday. It has one point from three games so far this season, drawing with Celta Vigo, who has just signed Stefan Bajcetic, before losing to Real Betis and Deportivo A Coruna.
Liverpool.com says: Elliott has a lot of potential but he looked like he was lacking match sharpness and a bit of confidence during the summer. This move should help restore that.
When he comes back next year, he might be in better shape to be able to impress Iraola and earn a future at Liverpool. If not, he should have done enough to earn the Reds a fee in the transfer market at that point.
