Tosin has also been available for transfer at Chelsea this summer after falling down the defensive pecking order at Stamford Bridge. The former Fulham defender made just eight Premier League starts last season, having initially established himself in the side before a calf injury disrupted his progress.

He enjoyed a more prominent role during Chelsea’s Conference League campaign, featuring in 10 of their 13 matches as Enzo Maresca’s side went on to win the competition in 2025.

Tosin joined Chelsea on a free transfer from Fulham in 2024 after previously coming through Manchester City’s academy. He made 89 appearances for Fulham before his move to Stamford Bridge and has now emerged as a potential replacement for Danso at Tottenham.

Mudryk Loan Agreed

Tottenham have simultaneously reached an agreement with Chelsea over a season-long loan for Mudryk. However, unlike Tosin, the Ukrainian winger’s move is not yet at the same stage, with personal terms still needing to be finalised.

Mudryk has not played a competitive match since November 2024 but was cleared to return to football in July after his anti-doping case was resolved.

The 25-year-old is understood to be keen on remaining in the Premier League, with Tottenham emerging as a late contender for his signature after pursuing other attacking options such as Iliman Ndiaye and Cody Gakpo.

De Zerbi’s previous relationship with Mudryk could also play a role in the move, with the pair having worked together at Shakhtar Donetsk before the winger joined Chelsea in 2023.

Mudryk has yet to feature in any of Chelsea’s matchday squads this season and could now be handed an opportunity to restart his career at Tottenham. The proposed loan would give Spurs another option in the forward areas as De Zerbi looks to add greater depth to his attack.
