**Liverpool striker Jayden Danns is now said to be “attracting interest” from foreign clubs on deadline day, according to reliable journalist Dominic King.**
The 20-year-old is a massive talent, but unfortunately, a string of injury problems have dogged him in recent years, hampering his progress in the Reds’ senior squad.
Liverpool are lacking striker options currently, due to Hugo Ekitike’s continued absence, so there is some sense in making sure Danns stays put this summer.
But providing a deadline day transfer update on several topics on [_X_](https://x.com/DKingTelegraph/status/2094692707243315556?s=20), _The Telegraph_‘s King claimed that there is plenty of interest in Danns from abroad:
_“Jayden Danns is attracting interest from clubs in Europe, who want to take him on loan. Harvey Elliott’s loan to Valencia set to be confirmed. Unlikely anyone else coming in for Liverpool.”_
**Should Liverpool stick with Jayden Danns this summer?**
---------------------------------------------------------
Liverpool have an important decision to make with Danns, potentially loaning him out to benefit his development, but also seeing keeping hold of him as the better decision.
As mentioned, there isn’t a natural backup to Isak available to Andoni Iraola currently, and the young Englishman could be that man, having been hailed by [Barry Lewtas](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/u21s-preview-jayden-danns-desperate-be-best-he-can-be) in the past:
_“He did ever so well at U18 level and scored a lot of goals and then he moved up with us, then it was straight into the first team! It’s great to have him around the group, he’s a real good kid, a good attitude and he is desperate to be the best, there’s no question of that. He has been a real kind of good character to add to the group, but on top of that as well it’s even better having good players, which he is, and he has certainly led the line well for us when he has played.”_
If Iraola feels like there are enough players who can play down the middle if required, such as Cody Gakpo, it may be right to loan Danns out on deadline day.
But it is easy to envisage Isak getting injured at some point during the season, and not having the Liverpool youngster around could then look like an error. It will be interesting to see what develops.
