Chelsea are determined not to sell Enzo Fernandez without signing a replacement for the midfielder.
People close to Fernandez are optimistic that his move to Manchester City will happen before the transfer window closes on Tuesday night.
And City may have moved a step closer to landing the Argentine after Chelsea’s own swoop for a new midfielder.
Chelsea make contact to sign Manu Kone
Journalist Santi Aouna has claimed on X that Chelsea have “officially” made contact with AS Roma about signing Manu Kone.
Roma’s stance is Kone is not for sale and the 25-year-old even played for the Italian club on Monday night in their 4-0 win over Lecce.
However, with Chelsea entering negotiations with Roma, according to Aouna, it looks like a deadline day deal could still be possible.
