Liverpool view Trey Nyoni as a valued squad member after rejecting transfer approach from Nottingham Forest

Liverpool are confident Trey Nyoni can play a growing part in Andoni Iraola's midfield this season after comprehensively dismissing a £30million offer for the teenager.
Nottingham Forest made an audacious attempt to sign Nyoni on Monday evening by proposing a deal of £25m guaranteed with a further £5m in add-ons.
The offer, though, was instantly rejected by Liverpool, who view Nyoni as a valued member of their squad with the 19-year-old expected to have increased minutes this season.
He impressed when coming off the bench for the closing stages of the 2-2 Premier League draw at home to Forest on Saturday and is in line for a start in the League Cup third round tie against Tottenham Hotspur in a fortnight.
Nyoni has yet to start a Premier League game, but with Curtis Jones having joined Inter Milan and no new midfielder seemingly incoming this window, it is expected the youngster will be given an opportunity over the coming months.
One midfielder who has left Liverpool is Stefan Bajcetic, who has rejoined former club Celta Vigo in the Spanish second tier after almost six years with the Reds.
While the fee has been undisclosed, the ECHO understands it is around £1m with Liverpool having also negotiated a sell-on clause.
Bajcetic made 22 appearances for the Reds although his last was in May 2024, while his final of just six Premier League starts came way back in March 2023.
A number of Academy youngsters are expected to leave Liverpool on loan on deadline day, with Honduran striker Keyrol Figueroa on the brink of a season-long loan move to League Two side Port Vale.
