The ex-Dallas Cowboys quarterback was put on indefinite leave by CBS following an alleged DUI – but who is his wife and the mother to his 3 sons?
In July, ex-NFL star Tony Romo was arrested in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on suspicion of driving while intoxicated. The incident was followed by several further alleged offences, prompting CBS Sports to place the NFL analyst on indefinite leave. Romo has worked in the role since retiring from American football in 2017.

“Tony accepts full responsibility for his actions and has taken proactive steps to ensure that this isolated civil matter is properly resolved,” a representative for the former Dallas Cowboys quarterback told TMZ, adding that the 46-year-old is in talks with CBS regarding his future with the network.

While Romo deals with the fallout, his wife of 15 years, Candice Crawford Romo, has remained largely out of the public eye. The 39-year-old once told DFW Child – a family magazine in the Dallas-Fort Worth area – that she was “really good at digging [her] head in the sand” when it came to handling negative attention surrounding her husband.

Candice Crawford was born in December 1986 in Texas to a dermatologist father and teacher mother – both fans of the Dallas Cowboys. Although Tony Romo initially left Candice’s parents starstruck – she hid them in the bathroom when he came to pick her up for a date, per People – the Crawfords are no strangers to the world of celebrity.
Candice’s older brother is actor Chace Crawford, known for his portrayals of Nate Archibald in Gossip Girl and Kevin Kohler / The Deep in The Boys.
