Chelsea are desperately searching for a replacement for Enzo Fernandez on transfer deadline day, but aren't having much luck so far. The Blues have engaged in talks for Monaco star Lamine Camara and Roma's Manu Kone, but have so far been unable to come to an agreement.
Xabi Alonso's side tabled a £38.5million bid for Camara but the Ligue 1 side have rejected it. football.london understands that payment schedules and elements of the bonus structure still needed to be ironed out on Monday as they looked for an agreement.
Camara trained with Monaco on Tuesday morning despite being said to be keen on the move to Stamford Bridge.
The Blues are also in the market for Kone, who has been linked to Manchester United this summer. Reports in Italy have indicated that the west London club have come close to an agreement worth in the region of £52m.

However, it is understood that Roma boss Gian Piero Gasperini has caused some complications and is adamant that the Frenchman should not depart this summer. Sky Sports Italy are now claiming that the deal for Kone looks to be 'off'.
Nevertheless, it has been suggested that Chelsea remain active in trying to land the midfielder. The Blues remain in discussions with Roma, with the Serie A giants interested in acquiring a Chelsea player. They want to sign Jamie Gittens on loan.
The Telegraph reports that there is a third mystery midfielder that Chelsea are also working toward this summer, with Fernandez set to depart. The target is claimed to be a Premier League player.
The hours are ticking down for Fernandez to agree his move to Manchester City. Chelsea received their first official approach on Monday, having seen their rivals fail to meet a deadline to agree a £120m deal last month.
Fernandez is keen to move to City, but it remains to be seen how Chelsea's quest to sign a replacement impacts negotiations.
Also on transfer deadline day, Chelsea have confirmed that Honest Ahanor will join the club from Atalanta, but not until 2027. The Italian defender is instead set to join Crystal Palace on loan this season.
Spanish striker Marc Guiu has departed Stamford Bridge for RB Leipzig on a permanent deal. Guiu joined Sunderland on loan 12 months ago before seeing his deal cancelled for a swift return, but he was unable to find his way into the first team in west London.
Young striker Shim Mheuka is expected to join Celtic on loan before the transfer window closes, football.london understands. The 18-year-old is set to sign a new contract before making the move north of the border.
Chelsea are also expected to see two players join Tottenham before the deadline. Tosin Adarabioyo is set to make the move across London permanently, while Mykhailo Mudryo could link up with former boss Roberto De Zerbi on loan.
