Liverpool striker Keyrol Figueroa has completed a loan move to Port Vale, joining U21s head coach Rob Page’s former club for his first experience of senior football.
Figueroa turned 20 on Monday, and after an outstanding campaign as backup striker for the U21s last time out, it was clear he was ready for first-team football.
While that would not be on offer at Liverpool yet, the Honduras international can look to first make an impact in League Two with Port Vale.
He will spend the campaign with Jon Brady’s side, who are back in the fourth tier after relegation from League One last season.

Port Vale have begun the season in poor form, with two losses and a draw in three league games so far as well as exiting the FA Cup with defeat to Wolves.
Ahead of Tuesday’s trip to Swindon they had scored one goal in four games, with there clearly hopes that adding Figueroa to their ranks will help solve that major issue.
Figueroa scored 12 goals in 16 appearances for the U21s last season, though having only started seven of those it meant he averaged a goal every 65 minutes.
That is an impressive tally, but having found himself behind Will Wright and Jayden Danns in the pecking order, and now with Josh Sonni-Lambie promoted from the U18s, his situation was unlikely to improve staying at Liverpool.

Son of former Wigan left-back Maynor Figueroa, the youngster came through the age groups representing the United States, but switched allegiances to Honduras in May.
He then made his senior debut for the national team in a 2-0 friendly defeat to Argentina in June.
Figueroa signed a new contract with Liverpool earlier this summer having seen his previous terms expire and his future will be reassessed after his spell with Port Vale.
