Liverpool’s summer business has reshaped Andoni Iraola’s attacking options, with Victor Munoz and Bradley Barcola both arriving to strengthen the forward line.
That growing competition for places has left several fringe squad members facing uncertain futures as deadline day plays out.

Harvey Elliott has been among those affected.
The 23-year-old was left out of Liverpool’s matchday squad for both of their opening Premier League fixtures, against Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest, with Iraola citing competition for places as his reason.
Elliott’s frustration follows a difficult season on loan at Aston Villa, where he made only four appearances after Unai Emery limited his game time to avoid triggering an obligation to buy.
He returned to Anfield this summer with his path back into the first team looking narrow.
That situation has now accelerated into a move away from Merseyside.
Reports on Friday first linked Elliott with Valencia, with the La Liga club identifying him as a priority target after a poor start to their season.
Fabrizio Romano confirmed Elliott had agreed personal terms with Valencia, with the England youth international keen on the switch to Spain.
Napoli and Lazio had also registered interest, but Valencia’s approach gathered pace after their manager, Carlos Corberan, held direct talks with the player.
Now, Valencia have officially confirmed the arrival of the English midfielder on a season-long loan, with the Spanish club covering the majority of Elliott’s wages and no option to buy included in the deal.
Elliott flew to Spain on Monday night and was greeted by reporters on arrival, calling Valencia “an incredible club” and saying he was “really thankful for the opportunity.”
Valencia finished ninth in La Liga last season and have taken just one point from their opening three league matches this term, leaving Corberan short of attacking creativity in the final third.
Elliott, who can operate as a number 10 or from either flank, is expected to provide that spark.
Elliott joined Liverpool’s academy from Fulham in 2019 and went on to make his Premier League debut at 16 years and 30 days old.
His contract at Anfield runs until 2028, meaning he will return to Liverpool with a year still to run on his deal once the loan expires.
