Robert Sanchez has become the second player to leave Chelsea and join Como this summer, following the transfer of Trevoh Chalobah at the start of August.

Robert Sanchez has joined Como on a season-long loan, making him the second Chelsea player to swap Stamford Bridge for the Giuseppe Sinigaglia Stadium this summer. The 28-year-old goalkeeper has followed Trevoh Chalobah to the Italian outfit as Cesc Fabregas looks to bolster his options at the back.
football.london understands that the Blues decided to sign a new shot-stopper following the win over Fulham on the opening weekend of the new Premier League season. Although Xabi Alonso's side left Craven Cottage with three points, Sanchez fell short of expectations, making a number of mistakes, including one which led to a goal.
Rather than throw Mike Penders into the deep end, Chelsea swiftly wrapped up a deal for Emi Martinez. The Blues signed the 33-year-old goalkeeper from Aston Villa for just £7.5m, and it already looks to be a great piece of business.
Speaking to reporters at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon, following the victory against Brighton, the Blues manager heaped great praise on Martinez. Alonso said: "Emi is a World Cup winner, is 33 years old, and is very experienced.

"I spoke with him yesterday (Saturday), and we talked about the game and our team. He felt ready, and I don’t have to tell him many things for him to perform.
"Even today, while a goalkeeper wants to keep a clean sheet, I am happy with his impact. He has been in the building just 48 hours, so now we will have a whole week to prepare for the next one.
"Day by day, we will feel this presence because he has this charisma, this aura to influence and have a very positive connection with the rest of the team."
Prior to the Seagulls clash, when Martinez impressed on his debut, Alonso said: "We are very happy with Emi and we are delighted to have him here at Chelsea.
"To have such a goalkeeper of this stature, of this personality, it’s very good for us.
"I think that he will bring lots of qualities, and I'm sure that he can have a straight impact, and that's why we decided that he’s ready to play straightaway."
Martinez looks set to be back in action on Sunday evening when Chelsea face Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium, while Sanchez could debut for Como on Friday night when they take on Genoa.
