Ethan Nwaneri has joined Borussia Dortmund on a season-long loan, with Arsenal sending the 19-year-old to the Bundesliga for the 2026/27 campaign.
The Hale End graduate spent the second half of last season with Marseille on loan and will now continue playing away from North London rather than competing for a role within Arsenal's squad.
Arsenal confirmed the Dortmund agreement on deadline day, adding that the move remains subject to the completion of regulatory processes.
It is the second loan of Nwaneri's senior career following his an unsuccessful spell in France, where he made just 11 appearances in all competitions for Marseille.

Nwaneri has been with Arsenal since he was eight and became one of the most recognisable players to emerge from Hale End when Arteta handed him his senior debut in September 2022.
He was just 15 years and 181 days old when he came off the bench against Brentford, making him the youngest player ever to appear in the Premier League and Arsenal's youngest player in any competition.
His first professional contract followed in March 2024 after he turned 17.
The following season brought his first sustained run of senior football at Arsenal. Nwaneri made 37 appearances across all competitions in 2024/25, including 26 in the Premier League and seven in the Champions League.
He was still only 17 when that breakthrough season began, but opportunities changed during 2025/26 and the Gunners allowed him to join Marseille for the second half of the campaign.
Nwaneri featured in four of Arsenal's pre-season matches, but didn't provide enough to show he could compete for a place in the wider squad as Arsenal look to retain their Premier League title.
Nwaneri Set for Second Loan Spell
Dortmund will now provide the next destination for a player who has already accumulated first-team experience in England and France despite only turning 19 earlier this year.
The move also takes Nwaneri into the Bundesliga for the first time.
His international experience has developed alongside his club career. Nwaneri has represented England at every youth level from Under-16 through to Under-21, making 58 appearances and scoring 27 goals across those age groups.
The Gunners have not indicated that the Dortmund agreement contains an option or obligation to buy, suggesting it is simply a season-long loan.
Nwaneri's long-term future still looks set to be in North London, whilst he looks to gain further first team experience in Germany.
Nwaneri now leaves Arsenal for a second consecutive loan spell, this time for the full campaign, with Dortmund taking him through to the end of the 2026/27 season.
