Everton are targeting a late move for Manchester United striker Joshua Zirkzee (25), according to a report from L’Équipe. The Toffees have identified the Dutch forward as an alternative to Folarin Balogun, with their prospective move for the USMNT striker from AS Monaco on the verge of collapse.
Balogun looked set to complete a move with the Premier League on transfer deadline day. However, following medical tests with the Merseyside outfit, the transfer is on the verge of collapse. Everton are aiming to sign a striker before the end of the transfer window after selling Beto to Fiorentina.
Everton still in talks with Monaco over Balogun
Despite the Monaco forward failing his medical, discussions between the English club and the Ligue 1 club have not yet ceased. Les Monégasques will be hoping they can revive the deal given their need to sell before the end of the summer transfer window.
