Spanish champions Barcelona have completed the signing of forward Gabriel Jesus from Premier League holders Arsenal.
The Gunners confirmed on Tuesday that the Brazil international had joined Barcelona on a permanent basis, just hours before the transfer window slams shut on Tuesday night.
Jesus, 29, joined the north London outfit from rivals Manchester City in the summer of 2022, following Mikel Arteta to The Emirates.
The striker had been prolific during his time at The Etihad – netting 95 times in 236 games for City across all competitions – but has was plagued by injuries throughout much of his time in north London.
In total Jesus made 123 appearances for Arsenal in all competitions, scoring 32 goals and registering 22 assists.

The striker’s time in the capital started well as he scored five goals in his first eight Premier League appearances for Arsenal, finishing the 2022/23 campaign with 11 goals in 33 games across all competitions.
Jesus suffered a cruciate ligament injury during the 2024/25 season, which saw the player miss more than 45 games for the Gunners.
He was part of the Arsenal squad that cruised to the Premier League title last term, but started just three of their 38 games in the competition and hadn’t featured for Mikel Arteta’s side this season.
Jesus is one of a number of players to depart the champions this summer, with the likes of Ethan Nwaneri, Christian Norgaard and Leandro Trossard also all leaving The Emirates since the end of last season.
Brazilian Jesus has been capped 64 times by his country at senior level – scoring 19 times – but he was left out of Carlo Ancelotti’s squad for the World Cup in North America earlier this summer after playing a bit-part role for his club last term.
