Liverpool have brought the curtain down on a busy summer transfer window, with deadline day on Tuesday offering one final chance to add to a squad already reshaped under Andoni Iraola.
Victor Munoz arrived first, back in June, after Liverpool triggered his €40 million release clause at Osasuna to beat Newcastle to his signature.

Ronald Araujo followed in August, joining on a season-long loan from Barcelona that includes a €55 million option to make the move permanent.
Bradley Barcola then completed a switch from Paris Saint-Germain on Monday, in a deal worth up to £123 million, becoming the club’s marquee addition of the window.
With the Premier League window closing at 11pm on Tuesday, Liverpool were expected to have further business to conclude before the deadline.
That business now centres on the goalkeeping department.
Reports on Monday revealed Liverpool had opened direct talks with Genk over 18-year-old goalkeeper Lucca Brughmans, before Belgian outlet HLN revealed that Liverpool and Genk reached a verbal agreement for Brughmans, in a deal worth €35 million (£30 million).
Following that agreement, Liverpool have now officially announced the arrival of the Belgian goalkeeper on transfer deadline day.
Standing at 6ft 7in, Brughmans only turned 18 in June but has already established himself as Genk’s first-choice goalkeeper, making 15 senior appearances for the Belgian club. He has represented Belgium at Under-16, Under-17 and Under-18 level.
A club statement read: “Liverpool have agreed a deal to sign goalkeeper Lucca Brughmans from KRC Genk. The 18-year-old has put pen to paper on a long-term contract with the Reds at the AXA Training Centre.
“He will now return to Genk and remain with the Belgian top-flight side for the duration of the 2026-27 season.” The Reds have the option to bring Brughmans to Anfield in January as part of the agreement.
“This is a very special moment for me,” said Lucca Brughmans. “Liverpool is one of the biggest clubs in the world. As a young goalkeeper, you dream of getting such an opportunity someday.
“At the same time, I am enormously grateful to KRC Genk. This club helped shape me, gave me opportunities, and made me better every day. I will stay in Genk this season with full focus and want to give everything for the club.”
