Manchester City have confirmed the signing of Everton's mercurial attacker Iliman Ndiaye in a deal worth up to £65M. The Premier League champions agreed an initial fee of £60M with a further £5M structured in performance-related add-ons, gazumping Tottenham Hotspur late in the transfer window.
The 26-year-old Senegal international underwent his medical assessments in Manchester after City accelerated their pursuit following Liverpool's refusal to sell Cody Gakpo. Ndiaye was previously in discussions over a potential move to Tottenham — which involved potential swap talk with Richarlison — before Enzo Maresca's side stepped in.
Ndiaye leaves Merseyside after a memorable 2-year spell, during which his flair, dribbling, and work rate made him a fan favourite at Goodison Park, where he scored Everton's last goal, and then Hill Dickinson Stadium, where he scored Everton's first. He departs having registered 17 goals in 74 appearances across all competitions.
Everton had offered Ndiaye multiple contract extensions over the past 12 months, but with the player keen to test himself in the Champions League and entering the final stages of his deal, they were forced to accept that he wanted away, the hierarchy eventually accepting City's substantial offer.
The influx of funds provides crucial capital as the Blues navigate deadline day activities, including a potential return for Jack Grealish.

Ndiaye praising Man City on the BBC -- no word about Everton.
If that's the case, I'm glad he's gone.

Ndiaye completes Man City transfer. I wish him all the best. He has earned his dream Champions League move after working hard to rise from the non-league to the top.
I will miss seeing Illy in Everton shirt. We have not had many flair players in the last few seasons who gets bums of the seats. Hopefully George can step up now.

You can understand the frustration of Everton fans when you see clubs like Man City and Chelsea etc who only have to smile at a player and its done and dusted, whereas Everton need to involve a saga.
Thats said with Ndiaye he may be polishing the bench at City and the fee should have been higher.
I think Everton have bought very well fee wise but its possible that we may not have signed enough after the transfer window has been cleaned.

Thanks Illy for mentioning the club who took you from Marseille, where your career was nosediving to bringing you to the Premiership where we turned you into the player you are now.
Thanks for mentioning the fans who cheered and applauded your every little dribble and mazy runs, you were the first name on the sheet every game, unfortunately for us you spewed it just before and after the Afcon just in case you got injured and ruined your chance of a big move.
Unlike Nathan Patterson who I wished well earlier, I hope you get splinters in your arse from warming the City bench and go on to be a bit part player at best.
Flattered to deceive a lot of the time, and your goals and assists aren't really nothing exceptional are they. Good riddance to you, the only saving grace is we made an healthy profit on you.

N’Diaye signed a five year contract for Everton, only twenty four months ago which means Everton, didn’t really have to sell him.

TFG and their man in charge at Everton,KINNEAR, are a joke. They have allowed the best player Everton had to leave on the cheap, they sold Beto, Patterson, irogbunam, others have also gone, maybe not main players but still part of EFC. They needed a quality right back another midfielder a striker and a replacement for Ndiaye. What does KINEAR AND HIS CREW DO ? They wait till the last day and end up not bringing in any new players that can replace those that have left or players with the quality in positions that were already needed ie. It seems the only players brought in are well past their prime and almost the sort of players that would be described as make weights at other times. What a pathetically run transfer policy.
