OK we're calling it there. We aren't aware of any Premier League deal sheets in for Lamine Yamal or Harry Kane - so whatever else there is to come can wait.

Come back tomorrow morning to find out what we missed overnight...

Goodnight.

Some non transfer news...

England striker Ollie Watkins marked his Saudi Pro League debut with a goal as Al-Hilal beat Al-Ahli 3-0 to maintain their winning start to the new season.

I know you were all dying from an update of that game weren't you.

Did Palace deliberately keep that one under the radar? Great to see Chilwell back in Palace colours!

Jean-Matteo Bahoya recorded the fastest speed in a Bundesliga game ever in March 2025 - 23.09 mph (37.16 km/h).

The loan fee is £1.7m with the option of a £19.7m transfer - plus up to £4.3m of add-ons.

That's exactly what it was.

Leeds United have signed forward Jean-Matteo Bahoya on loan from Eintracht Frankfurt with the option of a permanent deal.

Presumbaly that will be a teaser for the expected £25.7m signing of Eintracht Frankfurt winger Jean-Matteo Bahoya, 21. He is a France Under-21 international.

Leeds United

Leeds have tweeted, in French, their infamous classic phrase "don't go to bed just yet"...

Quinten Timber is the twin brother of Arsenal defender Jurrien. Maybe the two of them can share a gaff now in London.

Quinten Timber of the Netherlands

Crystal Palace have signed Quinten Timber from Marseille.

The 25-year-old has signed a contract to keep him at Selhurst Park until 2031.

French football expert Robin Bairner on Sunderland’s deal for Malick Fofana: “This would be a really tremendous signing not only for what Fofana can provide for them at the moment but for what he can potentially do for them in the future.

“I think it's a great deal not just because of his quality as a player which is undoubted but you know the price point that they're going to get him at we're probably looking at sort of 30 to 40 million euros is absolutely outstanding considering what we've seen other left wingers go for in this market.”

I always thought the Robinho Man City deadline day signing would be the most dramatic ever. And the Peter Odemwingie one is the most bizarre. But the Mykhailo Mudryk deal eclipses both for sheer head scratching.

Andrew, Farnham

Everton tried to sign Tammy Abraham, Joshua Zirkzee and Folarin Balogun today - and got none of them.

And before all that they sold Beto to Fiorentina.

Folarin Balogun walks away from a deal at Everton.

I understand he had a medical which showed up some issues. Everton worked hard to keep deal alive and renegotiate terms with Monaco.

Both sides were happy and the deal was signed by clubs and player but Balogun then walked.

Folarin Balogun #20 of the United States reacts

Folarin Balogun’s move to Everton is off after the player decided against proceeding with the transfer.

Everton sought to renegotiate the original £40m fee they agreed to pay Monaco after issues cropped up with the USA striker’s medical.

But Balogun, it is understood, has decided against going ahead with the move.

Right so what happened with Folarin Balogun? Let's ask our reporters.

Now remember Chelsea missed out on signing Lamine Camara from Monaco earlier because the Ligue 1 club pulled the plug as they were going to sell Folarin Balogun - and only needed to sell one of them.

And now Balogun is staying put. So presumably they would have sold Camara in that case.

Have a feeling this will rumble on tomorrow.

I'm too tired to write this in my own words now, but this is what Lyon say about the Sunderland Malick Fofana deal.

"Olympique Lyonnais announces the transfer of its Belgian international striker Malick Fofana to Sunderland for an amount that could reach €35 million, including €5 million in bonuses, to which could be added a 12.5% interest on the capital gain of a possible future transfer."
