FC Barcelona have had quite a busy summer, during which their sporting department remained busy for several months, working to reinforce Hansi Flick’s team for the new season and also to find new clubs for players who were not a part of the German coach’s plans.
Their work continued till the very final day of the transfer market. On this day, they completed the seventh signing of the summer, i.e., [the center-forward Gabriel Jesus, whom they signed from Arsenal for €10 million](https://barcanewsnetwork.com/official-barcelona-complete-e10m-signing-of-gabriel-jesus-from-arsenal/).
Meanwhile, there was another operation they completed on this deadline day, i.e., the departure of one of their young talents, Guille Fernandez, who has now joined Mallorca. As [Mundo Deportivo](https://www.mundodeportivo.com/futbol/fc-barcelona/20260901/1004222268/cifras-traspaso-guille-fernandez-mallorca.html) has reported, Barcelona have received €2.2 million for 60% of the player’s rights, and they will retain the rest of the 40% rights on him. Furthermore, the Catalans will also keep a buyback option on him for the future.
Thus, one of the most promising talents to have emerged from La Masia has now left the Blaugrana club. He grew at an amazing pace and made his way to Barca Atletic at only 16 years of age. However, despite being called up by Hansi Flick for several matches, he was never able to make his debut for the first team. With the reserve team, the youngster made 62 appearances, in which he scored eight goals.
Now, Guille Fernandez has reached a major milestone in his career, as he leaves the club where he spent his youth to sign for Mallorca, where he will be competing for a regular spot with the first team, something he was not able to achieve at Barcelona, where he spent eight years. Hopefully, he will take full advantage of this move, and showcase his talents to continue growing and realizing the amazing potential he has shown in his early years.
