With the summer transfer window now closed, Barcelona have confirmed their squad for the 2026-27 season. Anthony Gordon, Karim Adeyemi, Rodri, Joao Cancelo, Dominik Livakovic and Gabriel Jesus are the new arrivals in Hansi Flick’s squad, with [the latter being confirmed as the sixth and final signing](https://barcanewsnetwork.com/official-barcelona-complete-e10m-signing-of-gabriel-jesus-from-arsenal/) on Tuesday.
Jesus was brought in by Barcelona to provide striker depth, given that a move for Julian Alvarez was ultimately impossible due to Atletico Madrid not entertaining offers from direct rivals. The 29-year-old joins from Arsenal on a two-year deal, and as per [MD](https://www.mundodeportivo.com/futbol/fc-barcelona/20260902/1004222374/gabriel-jesus-inscrito-cuarto-hora-cierre.html), he was registered in time to feature for the Catalans during the league season – but only just.
According to the report, Jesus was only registered by Barcelona 15 minutes before the deadline set by La Liga. Had they been too late, they would have been unable to call upon the Brazil international until the window opened again in January, which is why club officials can breathe a sigh of relief that everything was sorted.
Jesus was not the only new signing to be registered by Barcelona on Tuesday, with goalkeeper Dominik Livakovic also officially added to their first team squad. The Croatian had been tipped to leave on loan before returning next summer to take over from Wojciech Szczesny as Joan Garcia’s backup, but in the end, he will take up that role with immediate, leaving the Polish veteran drops down to third in the pecking order.
Livakovic has already been presented with the number 25 jersey, which was vacated by Szczesny earlier in the summer. Both he and Jesus are in line to be included in the Barcelona squad for this weekend’s trip to Valencia, and they will both have their first chance to make their debuts for the Catalan club at the Mestalla.
