Arsenal have completed another major summer overhaul after spending at least £198.5million on four senior signings while moving a significant group of players out of Mikel Arteta’s squad.
Bruno Guimarães became the biggest arrival at £75m, with Ezri Konsa, Piero Hincapié and Christos Tzolis taking Arsenal’s known first-team spending close to £200m. Illan Meslier also arrived on a free transfer, while Arsenal invested in younger talent including Igor Tyjon and James Scanlon. Sky Sports lists the completed Arsenal business from the 2026 summer window.
The final result is a very different-looking squad for the Premier League champions.

The headline arrival is Guimarães.
Arsenal paid £75m for the Brazil international, giving Arteta another proven Premier League midfielder alongside Declan Rice, Martin Zubimendi and Martin Ødegaard.
Konsa also adds established Premier League quality to a defence which was already one of Arsenal’s biggest strengths.
Hincapié’s move from Bayer Leverkusen became permanent for £34.5m, while Tzolis arrived for £34m after Arsenal targeted greater threat from the left.

Those published fees amount to roughly £61.9m, before any undisclosed deals, loan payments or further bonuses are considered. Sky Sports’ transfer tracker lists the senior moves completed during the window.
Jesus’ departure was one of the biggest deadline-day decisions.
The Brazilian completed an £8.6m switch to Barcelona after four years in north London, leaving Arsenal with 32 goals from 123 appearances.
Vieira also departed permanently, joining Hamburg in a deal reported at £7.7m.
Ethan Nwaneri leaves Arsenal on loan
Arsenal also made a major development decision with Nwaneri.
The 19-year-old completed a season-long move to Borussia Dortmund after finding his path to regular minutes increasingly crowded.

There is no permanent option in the agreement, preserving Arsenal’s long-term control over one of Hale End’s leading graduates.
That makes his departure very different from the permanent sales elsewhere in Arteta’s squad.

Arsenal also earn Balogun windfall
Not all of Arsenal’s transfer income came from players leaving the club this summer.
Everton agreed a £40m deal with Monaco for former Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun.
A 17.5 per cent sell-on clause means Arsenal are expected to collect around £6.7m, with Read Arsenal explaining the Balogun windfall on deadline day.
That payment should be considered separately from direct player sales, but it further strengthens the financial return from Arsenal’s summer business.
Why Arsenal stopped at £198.5m
There could easily have been another major arrival.
Arsenal pursued Julian Alvarez during the final stages of the window, with Arteta becoming personally involved in the attempt to bring the former Manchester City forward back to England.

The Gunners also explored Malick Fofana before deciding against meeting the conditions required for a deal with Lyon.
Arsenal therefore ended the window without the additional elite attacker they had investigated.

What does Arsenal’s squad look like now?
The clearest improvement is depth.
Arteta has substantially more flexibility in defence and midfield, while Tzolis provides a new wide option.
The attacking picture carries more uncertainty following the exits of Jesus and Trossard and Nwaneri’s temporary departure.
Bukayo Saka, Viktor Gyökeres, Kai Havertz, Tzolis, Eberechi Eze and Noni Madueke now carry much of that responsibility.
