Manager confirms Arsenal man’s impending arrival out of window – Player pictured arriving in city

Arsenal‘s Gabriel Martinelli is on the verge of completing a move to Al-Hilal, after making a trip to Saudi Arabia.

The English window closed on Tuesday, while the one in Saudi Arabian remains open until September 6th.

Al-Hilal still have a few days left to complete the Arsenal man’s signing. The move isn’t in danger as their manager, Simone Inzaghi, confirmed his impending arrival and Asharq Al-Awsat have relayed his comments.

Arsenal already reached agreement

The Brazil international’s contract expires in 2027, with an option for another year.

He hasn’t made an appearance this season and reportedly found out from the media that Arsenal want to sell him.

Last weekend, Sport Witness covered a report from Brazil explaining that the Gunners and Al-Hilal agreeing a €65m deal. The two clubs were exchanging the documents for Gabriel Martinelli to complete his move to the Middle East.

On Tuesday, Al-Hilal secured a 3-0 win over Al-Ahli. Their two signings from the Premier League, Crysencio Summerville and Ollie Watkins, got their names on the scoresheet.

In the post-match press conference, Simone Inzaghi said he’s hopeful the Arsenal man can make his debut against Al-Shabab Saudi Club on Friday.

“As for Martinelli, we’ll see him play in the upcoming matches,” he said.

The Italian coach also talked about the possibility of Sultan Mandash’s role impacting with the South American’s arrival.

“Certainly, Sultan Mandash is performing at a fantastic and excellent level; we have multiple matches and challenges ahead of us in the King’s Cup and the AFC Champions League, and he will have ample opportunity to play and prove himself,” Inzaghi explained.

Arsenal player already in Saudi Arabia

Al-Hilal News, via their account on X, formerly known as Twitter, posted a video of Gabriel Martinelli arriving in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Tuesday.

The South American will soon undergo medical tests and sign the contract for Al-Hilal to make his transfer official.

Martinelli will soon end his seven-year spell at the north London club. He has 62 goals and 36 assists from 278 matches for Arsenal.
