The Premier League's transfer window has now closed, but there is still plenty of time for Liverpool and other clubs to do business should they want to offload any players

The transfer window is now closed for Liverpool - but there is still plenty of time for the Reds to strike some deals over the next month or so.
Tuesday signaled the end of this summer’s transfer incomings for the Premier League and Europe’s other major competitions. Deadline day proved to be fairly quiet for the Reds, with just 18-year-old goalkeeper Lucca Brughmans' signing a day after Bradley Barcola finally completed his move to Anfield.
Liverpool is reported to have made some late pushes for signings before the window closed though, with an attempt to sign Malo Gusto from Chelsea claimed to have failed, while calls are said to have been made to Lamine Camara and Monaco, with the midfielder’s move to Stamford Bridge having collapsed.
Bar any free agents that may catch Andoni Iraola’s eye now, Liverpool will have to wait until January for its next opportunity make some signings. Should it want to sell any of its current players though, there is still time.
A number of leagues throughout the world are still operating on the transfer front, with some high-profile locations on offer should any Premier League sides want to build up some funds before the turn of the year.
Among the markets still open, the Major League Soccer (MLS) window closes today (September 2), the same day as the Netherlands. Scotland’s window closes a day later, with the Premiership having been a useful outlet for some of the Reds’ loan stars previously.

Turkiye’s window shuts on September 4, and Liverpool will be hoping there isn’t any more interest in Virgil van Dijk coming from the Super Lig, with the Reds’ captain having been linked with following Mohamed Salah to the country amid interest from Galatasaray.
Mexico and Brazil’s windows both close on September 11, while Portuguese teams will have until September 15 to make any new signings.
Saudi Arabia, meanwhile, still has a long way to go in its window, with the market open to Pro League sides until October 12. Given some of the sums that sides in the Middle East have thrown around, that could be an opportunity for plenty of Premier League sides to make some money.

Whether Liverpool will be among them remains to be seen, although it would be a surprise to see the club offload any more of its players now.
Although the window is closed for the Premier League and the rest of the EFL - the Championship, League One and League Two - there is still an opportunity for players to be on the move in England.
There is no window in the National League - the top tier in England’s non-league system - meaning clubs outside of the EFL are free to make signings all-year round. That could offer another outlet for Liverpool should it look to send any of its younger players out on loan.
