Nathan Patterson has aimed a cheeky dig at former Everton manager David Moyes after completing his move to Torino.
The right-back admitted his time at Everton did not go to plan as he became the eighth current Scotland international in Serie A following his £1m transfer, which includes a 30 per cent sell on .
The 24-year-old has brought the curtain down on an injury-disrupted four-and-a-half-year stint with the Toffees in which he made just 39 starts and 68 appearances in total.

“Sometimes in life things don’t go as planned,” former Rangers player Patterson posted on Instagram.
“Nevertheless it was an honour to play for such a fantastic club and meet so many great people along the way. I always gave my best and pushed as hard as I could, even if things were going against me. I hope that came across.
“It goes without saying that I wish everyone at Everton all the best for the future.”
Patterson signed off his post by scoring out the word ‘Craig’ next to his own name, a humorous nod to the fact Everton boss Moyes mistakenly referred to him as Craig Patterson at a recent press conference.
The move to Torino unites the right-back with Scotland striker Che Adams. In addition, Patterson, a member of the squad that went to this summer’s World Cup, will find himself in opposition to several other international colleagues, with Josh Doig and Kieron Bowie at Sassuolo, Lennon Miller at Udinese, Lewis Ferguson at Bologna, and Scott McTominay and Billy Gilmour at Napoli.
Patterson could make his Torino debut this Saturday when his new side travel to Fiorentina in Serie A.
