Mao Itamura withdraws from Japan's U20 Women's World Cup squad

The 20-year-old has undergone minor abdominal surgery and will therefore be unable to play at this month's tournament in Poland.

After a period of recuperation, she will begin her rehabilitation at the AXA Melwood Training Centre.

Itamura joined Liverpool FC Women from Feyenoord in July.
