Centre-back: Jeremy Jacquet - Liverpool (£55m)
Liverpool have placed huge faith in Jeremy Jacquet, whose arrival from Rennes was pre-arranged in January. The 21-year-old had just 37 Ligue 1 appearances to his name before arriving at Anfield to fill the void left by Ibrahima Konate's exit.

Xabi Alonso sought Premier League-proven talent in his first summer window, landing Maxence Lacroix from Crystal Palace. The France international has slotted into the Spaniard's back three, adding real recovery pace.

Roberto De Zerbi secured a reunion with Jan Paul van Hecke, signing the centre-back from former club Brighton for £52m. The Dutchman is set to partner compatriot Micky van de Ven for the North Londoners, after Cristian Romero's exit for Atletico Madrid.

Manchester City made Elliot Anderson their club-record signing earlier in the transfer window, capping a rapid rise for the England midfielder. An excellent performer as England finished third at the 2026 World Cup and will form part of City's rebuild in midfield.

Sandro Tonali became Tottenham Hotspur's record recruit after arriving in North London for an initial fee of £92.5m. The Italian was the marquee recruit of a record-breaking summer spend for Spurs.
Central midfield: Enzo Fernandez - Manchester City (£125m)
Manchester City broke their transfer record twice this summer, including equalling the British transfer record for Enzo Fernandez. The Argentine reunites with former Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca at the Etihad, after shining under his management in West London.
Right-wing: Yan Diomande - Real Madrid (£107m)
One of last season's breakout stars, Yan Diomande's meteoric rise was capped by a £107m transfer to Real Madrid. The fee represented a huge profit for RB Leipzig, who signed Diomande from Leganés for just £17.1m last summer.
Left-wing: Morgan Rogers - Chelsea (£117m)
Morgan Rogers eclipsed the aforementioned Anderson as the most expensive English footballer of all time after leaving Aston Villa for Chelsea. The 24-year-old has made a promising start alongside close friend Cole Palmer, with a goal and assist across his first two Premier League appearances.
Forward: Bradley Barcola - Liverpool (£106m)
Liverpool landed Bradley Barcola late in the transfer window after a summer-long saga. The deal was for an initial £106m, which could rise to £123m with add-ons. Barcola becomes Liverpool's second-most expensive signing of all time.
Forward: Anthony Gordon - Barcelona (£69m)
Anthony Gordon swapped the Premier League for La Liga after leaving Newcastle United for Barcelona.
