He joined Everton from Udinese in 2023, with the Blues paying £25.8m for his signature.
However, in 113 appearances across all competitions for the Merseyside club, the Guinea-Bissau international scored just 25 goals.
Grealish moved the other way on deadline day, returning to Everton on loan from Manchester City after an injury-ravaged, yet iconic, spell on Merseyside last term.

While there's been a lot of excitement about Grealish's return to Everton, Beto's exit - despite him struggling in the Premier League - has caused outrage.
On deadline day, Beto (Fiorentina), Iliman Ndiaye (Manchester City), Tim Iroegbunam (Hull) and Nathan Patterson (Torino) were all sold by the Toffees.
Grealish, despite being a good signing, was the only signing made.
After Beto's exit was confirmed, he took to Instagram to say: "Amazing club! Amazing people! Amazing teammates! And crazy fans!
"It’s time to leave. Thank you for everything blues. You will always be in my heart."
